Netflix is celebrating the end of an era with a Stranger Things airing later in December, and a special light show celebrating the decade-old TV series over the skies of Las Vegas.
One Final Brush with the Upside Down in Las Vegas
The activation is meant to commemorate the show’s wrapping and is fittingly called: “One Last Adventure: Las Vegas,” choosing Sin City as the winding down of the fan-favorite and critically-acclaimed series.
Netflix is sparing on the details, but it teases that anyone who attends will find it worthwhile.
“Come for the show – and stay for the surprise giveaways,” the company’s statement teases, with Internet speculation suggesting that Netflix is planning to host a drone show that will bring the Upside Down over Las Vegas.
“From interactive installations in Madrid, Spain, to an immersive Hawkins National Laboratory exhibit in Sydney, Australia, each event paid tribute to our favorite gang of monster fighters,” the company said.
Of course, the event will not quite mark the end, as by December 28, when the celebration takes place, one final episode will be yet to air – Episode 8 will be shown to Netflix subscribers on December 31.
