Kasundi Peeled Mango Pickle recalled over elevated lead levels

Advance Food International Inc., of Maspeth, NY, is recalling its Kasundi Peeled Mango Pickle in Oil because of elevated levels of lead (0.0649 mg/kg). 

The recall was initiated on April 16 and is ongoing, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The recalled products were distributed to retail locations in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Maryland.

  • Description: National brand Kasundi Peeled Mango Pickle in Oil, Net Wt. 1 Kg (35.27 oz)/2.20 lb, packaged in a plastic jar with a red lid
  • Ingredients: Kasundi (Peeled Mango), Canola Oil, Cabbage, Salt, Mixed Spices, Vinegar, Sodium Benzoate as preservative
  • Product of: Pakistan
  • Product Quantity: 50 cases

Consumers should not use this product. Recalled products should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase.
